In recent months, Squarespace has released several easy-to-use features that make it simple to add curves and other softer design elements to your website. Here are my favorites.
The instructions here apply to Squarespace version 7.1, and for some of them, you'll need to use the newer Fluid Engine editor.
00:00 - Introduction
00:40 - Applying shapes to Squarespace images
01:48 - Using curves, diagonals, and other shapes for a section divider
03:55 - Introducing a curved effect using scrolling text
05:13 - Why, as a designer, don’t I add more of these features?
05:58 - Books often look best with an angular design
06:40 - How to make an image overlap sections in Squarespace (no code needed)
Reminder: whenever you edit your desktop web page layout, be sure to check mobile view to make sure you're happy with how things look there.
