DESIRA Final Conference, on the current and future scenario of rural digitalisations
DESIRA brought together policy-makers, research and innovation networks, farmers’ organisations, advisors, and other relevant stakeholders to exchange views on the current and future scenario of rural digitalisation.
In the project and conference, we sought to understand and discuss the role of policies fostering rural digitalisation, including good practices and initiatives at different levels from EU countries. We shared experiences, applying Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI), and exchange good practices emerging from Living Labs and Multi-Actor Platforms. Throughout the project and at the conference, we arranged demo sessions on DESIRA’s tools designed to support digital transformation in rural areas and design a set of policy recommendations in the field.
Overall, DESIRA hopes to have made a significant contribution to the next research agenda and to the future of rural areas.
