Ansys Fluent: CFD Simulation of Single Leakage in Fluid Pipeline
Pipelines in process plants connect components with each other.
Leakages can occur in pipeline systems. In the case of hazardous substances, leakage can endanger people and environment.
When preparing the risk analysis of a plant, the calculation of the mass flow from a potential leakage is necessary in order to plan protective measures.
Computational fluid dynamics can be used to calculate leakage mass flows.
The numerical approach has an important practical advantage in that it could describe complex geometry.
In this video we simulate a simple leakage example.
The simulation will be based on the approach in paper
