Time to Split: How to Partition a Hard Drive in Windows
To partition a hard drive in Windows:
Open Disk Management (Windows key + R, type diskmgmt.msc, and press Enter).
Right-click the hard drive you want to partition and select "New Simple Volume".
Follow the steps in the New Simple Volume Wizard to create the partition.
Important note: Back up all of your important files before you partition your hard drive.
