I finally built up the courage to give blood for the first time. I learn all about the process and find out it's not actually as scary as it seems, in fact is really quick and easy.
Donating blood is not only altruistic - because you save lives, it's actually been shown to improve donor's health by flushing the blood and getting the body to produce fresh cells.
