Long title is long.
Anyway, the challenge this week : Score as many points as you can on the game's Easy difficulty before losing a single bar of health. In other words, don't get hit (there are some attacks that deal less than a full bar of health, but unless you're playing Michelangelo they're not common).
Anybody could choose the turtle they wanted, which is nice. I hadn't played this game before, so I played each one a little bit. Raphael is the fastest of the bunch, so he's the best for grabs. Grabs render you invincible during their animation. Also, a throw is worth 3 points per enemy, and a slam is worth 2 points for every enemy killed with it (the guy you slammed + whatever you smashed him on). The slam makes the later stages a whole lot more manageable too. Raph's range sucks, but you should be constantly in the enemies' faces anyway, so it doesn't matter too much.
Stage 1 : Easy. Safe enough to spend time throwing guys around instead of slamming them. Just don't get hit by the wrecking balls or the lasers. When that robot's in the background, you can't throw people for some reason.
Baxter : He only shoots forward, so stay up or down compared to him (preferably down). He spends so much time doing nothing you can kill him with a Flip-Tackle, worth 4 points, which is nice.
Stage 2 : Annoying stage. The sword guys have a lot of range, and can jump around the screen. The orange guys can jump or throw 3 knives. The manhole covers can be hard to avoid because of the game's perspective. But just slam around and you'll be okay. If you're surrounded, jump kick until you create an opening to grab a guy.
Mecha Head : Just lock him in that pattern. If you mess up, he can be hard because he loves to counter any attack you try. He speeds up at the end, but he'll sometimes jam after an attack then, giving you plenty of times to hit him.
Stage 3 : Killing every enemy and collecting every pizza gives a 50 points bonus. It's pretty hard to kill all the pizza monsters without getting hit though, so I predictably messed it up. After that I just played it safe and only killed those in my way.
Rat King : Piece of cake. At first I didn't know you didn't have to deal damage for him to stop shooting missiles and switch attack. It's hard to position yourself correctly in front of him to avoid the missiles.
Stage 4 : Introduces the mouser, those little biting robots. They count separately for the game's 4 guys max limit, so the screen can fill up. Jump kick until it gets less crazy. Not particularly hard though, just long.
Tokka and Rahzar : Can be pretty hard, but for some reason Rahzar will rarely ever use his fire breath if you just stand at the wall, instead trying to hit you while out of range. Tokka is easy by himself (I think his charge can't even hurt you) but his ice breath is annoying and I'm not really sure what its range is, so I took my time.
Elevator : Less space = harder to avoid. So slam around and everybody dies :p
Jump kick the roadkill rodneys, try to hit the mousers as they come out (jump kicking them here doesn't work too well for some reason, they tend to hit you midjump), stand in the corner so the nunchaku guys can't hit you, and mass together the blocking guys so you can hit them with your combo.
Shredder : You can get infinite points here just killing foot soldiers, but this was banned halfway through the week (before that it was assumed nobody would get that far, then Ghandi and me reached the elevator :p). Throw guys at Shredder's face to kill him. You can't slam during this fight.
Stage 5 : I suck at dealing with the blocking dudes, but thankfully most of them got hit by a slam this time. When you reach the cave, look at the ceiling. A dark spot means there's a falling stalactite there. The football guys can be really annoying, as they have a lot of health, they react fast, and their punches have more range than Raph's weapons. They only come at you one at a time here though. As you get out, watch out for the rampaging dinos (just jump) and you'll soon reach Slash.
Slash : Hardest boss yet, but still not too difficult. The hard part is getting him to jump. He'll jump if you manage to corner him, as an attempt to get away from you. If you manage to hit him at least once after he lands, he'll jump right afterwards, so just pound away. If he stumbles, you'll have to hit him another time for him to jump.
Stage 6 : Careful about the taped planks, if you step on the tape you'll get hit in the face with it. I didn't try this stage much, but still got halfway through. I messed up on the footballs guys, but with a save state practice it took me like 20 tries to clear both waves without getting hit, so that's pretty much the furthest I could go.
The timing at the end was unintentional, as I don't hear sound while recording. He's saying "Oh! Helicopter." but I prefer the one in the vid :O
