Sydlexia.com SNES Championship 2011 - Round 9 : Sunset Riders
The original round 9 was Super Star Wars, but as it turned out impossible to record it, it got changed to something kinda similar in gameplay.
Objective : Collect as much money as possible until you die three times, with difficulty set to hard.
This game as a weird difficulty curve. The first boss is pretty hard, as well as the horseriding segment that follows (god, I hate those). The second boss is easy but can be random, stage 3 is a piece of cake, stage 4 is just a medium difficulty boss that can be tricky, stage 5 is even easier than stage 3, and after easy walking through stage 6 you meet the guy that's 10 times harder than anything else in the game, including the final boss. It's just total BS. The gaps are really small, he usually aims at you, forcing you to move, but not always, the only reliable way to hit him is to hope you get lucky about where he jumps, ugh. And if you die, you're stuck with the crappy gun and are pretty much screwed unless you get really lucky like me.
At first I wanted to beat the game, but I ran out of time, and beating that stupid Wigwam feels damn good anyway.
