Toy Story 4 is the Perfect Conclusion
A breakdown of the psychological elements in Toy Story 4 that elevate the series to new heights. The fourth film is a necessary entry depending on the interpretation of the imagery. If this is a movie about toys then the third film's conclusion is unsatisfactory. Bonnie's life is a whole new adventure for the crew to take part in. As characters deal with empty nest syndrome they carve out new communities for themselves. Woody in particular demonstrates various symptoms throughout the movie. He feels sad, anxious, and purposeless. After he realizes his value he carves out a new life path. Toy Story is ultimately an allegory about the hard work that goes into parenting. The toys work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure their child has a good time. Appreciating all that our parents do for us is so important. Once Woody makes peace with himself his empathy shines through. He gives up his voice so Gabbi Gabbi could rescue a lost child.
