Uroczystość Dnia Niepodległości na Malcie – szybko, rach ciach i mamy wolne... Mam pełen program obchodów na rok 2022. Ciężko znaleźć w prasie czy na oficjalnych stronach rządu, pan prezydent na swojej stronie od dawna już nie uzupełnia kalendarza więc napisałem do Department of Information i o dziwo od ręki odpisali ! Msza, wieńce, salwa, hymn, orkiestra dęta. KONIEC.
21.09.1964 po długich i burzliwych dyskusjach głównie wewnątrz kraju – imperium i tak było w rozsypce a dopłacać do wszystkich koloni już nie mogło. Mając bazy na Cyprze oraz Gibraltar Maltę można było zwolnić ze służby u Jej Imperialnej Wysokości Elżbiety II z domu Windsor. I tak jeszcze przez 15 lat flota była na wyspach by w końcu 31.03.1979 odpłynąć i mamy kolejne święto państwowe Dzień Wolności – o tym w kolejnym filmie.

National salute and inspection of the Guard of Honour takes place. 09.30 Pontifical Mass which will be broadcast LIVE on TVM 10.40 The Guard of Honour and the Band of the Armed Forces of Malta take their place next to the Independence monument. 10.50 Arrival of the Deputy Commander of the Armed Forces of Malta. 10.56 Arrival of the Leader of the Opposition. 10.58 Arrival of the Acting Prime Minister. 11.00 Arrival of the President of Malta. The President of Malta, the Acting Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition place wreaths on the monument. 20.00 Concert by the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Mro.
