JOURNEY TO JAPAN: 7 STEPS WE DID TO MAKE IT HAPPEN

1. RESEARCH
This is a crucial step for us when planning every travel adventure.
Where will our destination country be, and what is the exact city we'll stay in?
When will our estimated travel date be?
What attractions and experiences do we want to include?
How much will our budget be?
We do this by reading blogs and watching travel vlogs related to our destination. We look for the best recommendations, honest reviews, and useful tips that can help us plan.
2. ATTEND A TRAVEL FAIR AND BOOK A FLIGHT
We attended a travel fair and instantly booked our flight since we are already decided with the date.
3. PREPARE THE ITINERARY
Our itinerary is mainly based on the research we did earlier.
We plan every day from start to finish. We also use Google Maps and even Google Street View to familiarize ourselves with the specific places on our itinerary.
4. APPLY FOR A JAPAN VISA
First, we searched for the specific requirements.
Once we gathered all the necessary documents, we went to Reli Tours at MOA to submit our visa application.
After just 5 days, our visa was approved!

5. BOOKINGS AND RESERVATIONS
We booked our hotel accommodations via Agoda and some activities/attractions and wifi through Klook.
6. PACK OUR BAGS
We knew our trip would be during the winter season, so we made sure to prepare weather-appropriate clothing. We even made a checklist to ensure we wouldn’t forget anything.
By the way, we bought some winter clothes after we arrived in Japan since they were much cheaper there.
7. ARRIVE AT THE AIRPORT EARLY
We left our house extra early because we didn’t want to risk being late. Plus, we anticipated heavy traffic—which, by the way, we did encounter!
We headed straight to Park N Fly (we made a reservation days ahead), parked our car, and were shuttled to the airport.
We enjoyed the lounge, experienced the luxury of business class, and finally began exploring our dream destination!
