This is a classic cookie bars recipe that is really easy to bring together and great for a dinner party or to share with your co-workers or if you just have a craving for chocolate chip cookies and want to save yourself the time scooping.
INGREDIENTS:
1 stick (4 ounces) unsalted butter, softened
1/3 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon instant espresso powder* (can use Starbucks Via)
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
