I bought a used RV from Cruise America that looked perfect… until I tore it apart and uncovered massive hidden water damage, rotten floors, plumbing failures, and a broken septic tank—so I rebuilt almost the entire rig from the ground up.

Join me for a complete RV renovation where I take a used motorhome that looked great on the outside and transform it from a hidden disaster into a fully restored, road-ready home on wheels. What started as a simple remodel turned into a massive RV rebuild, exposing years of hidden problems—water damage, rotten wood, plumbing leaks, a broken septic tank, a sagging subfloor, and even issues with the driveshaft and propane system. In this video, I walk through every step of the process and show you exactly how I repaired, rebuilt, upgraded, and modernized this RV from the inside out.

When I first purchased this used RV, I thought I scored a great deal… until I began the demolition. As soon as I started dismantling the interior, I found severe water intrusion and damage, rotten walls, soft spots in the floor, and rotten framing. The plumbing was leaking behind the shower, the septic tank was falling off the frame, and the subfloor was so destroyed that entire sections had to be rebuilt. In the bathroom, I remove and rebuild the shower and toilet exposing the leak in the plumbing. This quickly became a full-scale structural restoration.

I take you through each major repair in detail—how I removed the damaged materials, rebuilt the framing, installed a brand-new subfloor, and waterproofed everything using RedGard waterproofing membrane for long-lasting protection. I also resealed and re-caulked the leaky RV roof, replaced plumbing water lines, corrected faulty plumbing connections, and ensured the entire system was safe and functional again.

After the structural repairs, the fun part begins: upgrading the RV to be more modern, reliable, and perfect for off-grid camping. I install new solar panels and batteries, create custom storage solutions, update the painting and interior design, add new window treatments, and lay fresh flooring throughout the entire RV. You’ll also see me drop the propane tank, replace the old service valve, and address a vibration issue by rebalancing the driveshaft and installing new U-joints. This RV gets rebuilt from the ground up—literally.
