What's making this four-note call?
I heard this strange call while making a landscape video next to my house on the 17th March 2024. It's four notes, all the same tone (C), repeated twice. Is it wildlife or just some livestock or a machine?
genghisattenborough on iNaturalist says it's a corvid (probably a rook) mimicking something it's heard. There are lots of rooks around, and farm machinery is often beeping in reverse. So my dichotomy may be wrong, it's not either/or but both wildlife and machine.
