Don't Wake Widowmaker! (Seriously, don't do it!)

Being a perfect assassin is exhausting work. A good assassin needs to be able to rest whenever they have the time, since they don't know when, where, or for how long such opportunities will come and they want to be awake for the actual job. Naturally Widowmaker has a tendency to get a little... cranky... when some idiot keeps her from getting some much-needed rest between missions, as Sniper learns the hard way. Bottom line, if you find Widowmaker napping after a hard day of sniping, it's probably best just to let her sleep.

Apologies for the audio. When I edited this together I had a more synchronous soundtrack but I ran into a number of problems with exporting it. Eventually I finally got the video but the audio file was corrupted so I tried to add a new one at the last minute. I tried to keep it in synch but it's not going to be perfect.

So I started experimenting with Source Filmmaker and I've certainly run into a number of challenges. I'm slowly learning the basics of animation but the number of times I've had to Google a problem has been astonishing.

My first instinct was to try and make some kind of zany Garry's Mod-style video that could feature lots of absurdities and hijinks in the vain of Moments with Heavy or TF2 air. I've started to find I'm probably not at that level yet. I'd never really thought about it before, but it turns out a lot of those videos require a great deal of time and precision, even if they're meant to look outlandish and random. I started to realize that if I'm going to do this kind of thing it's probably better to start with some single-location sequences with minimal actors and simplistic situations.

This probably isn't what you'd call high standard for SFM filmmaking. I haven't even tried to learn to use lighting or camera movements yet- I'm still getting the hang of puppeteering. Still, I hope you enjoy what I came up with.
