The Scaffold - I Can't Make You Mine (1969)
Liverpool trio who dabbled in comedy, poetry and music. Perhaps best known for their song "Lily the Pink", Mike McGear (Paul McCartney's brother), Roger McGough and John Gorman also wrote and sang the theme to the long running TV comedy "The Liver Birds". "I Can't Make You Mine", penned by Mike McGear, has a C&W feel. In fact, I'm surprised no country artist has covered the song.
