We got Leeches while Fishing with my Son
Well we started the trip great, Eli caught two fish all on his own and his casting is improving. I even hooked into a monster bass! However, shortly into the trip Eli found a very small leech on him. Ive never seen leaches on this river, but again I am not checking my feet every few minutes like he was. He was getting little gravel rocks in his wading shoes that bothered him, usually I just power through and deal. But I dont blame him for wanting to leave after finding leaches, that's traumatic for young kids. But this did mean we only got to fish for about a half hour. Lots of work to setup and get out fishing only to have to go back in very quickly and before we got to the better parts of the river. Oh well, I will have to go out myself soon to test out all my new flies ive been tying.
