I Was Wrong: How The Ford F150 LIghtning Home Integration System ACTUALLY Works
Almost a year ago now, Nikki purchased a Ford F150 Lightning with the intention of using it for carrying Transport Evolved Equipment to and from events, helping her partner with carrying wood, and using it as a vehicle to get feed and bedding for their animals.
Living in a rural area with an unreliable electrical grid, they also wanted to use Ford's Home Integration System to back up their home's power in the event of a power cut or natural disaster. But even though the system was installed back in October, it's not properly worked to date.
In our last video on the subject ( • What The FORD?! Why Things Still Aren't 10... ), Nikki shared a theory she had that the reason for things not working might have to do with poor Internet connectivity - but after a team of engineers paid her a visit this week, she now knows that theory was incorrect.
