Men’s rugby sevens is making its debut at the 2025 Games, following the debut of women’s rugby sevens at the 2022 Games. Men’s rugby (XV) was first added to the Canada Summer Games program in 1981, and was played for the last time in 2009.
Notable alumni include Carissa Norsten, Megan Lukan, Temitope Ogunjimi, and Patrick Parfrey.
