Your miraculous and glorified birth, Saint Nicholas, is celebrated today by the Orthodox Church. For by your standing on your feet (without support, during your baptism in the font), the Lord revealed you and proclaimed you to be a luminary and teacher for the laity, enriching the entire world and enlightening with miracles. Therefore, we cry out to you: "Pray to Christ God for the salvation of our souls."
