Located in Houston’s Texas Medical Center, the Gulf Coast Consortia (GCC) is one of the largest inter-institutional cooperatives in the world. Formed in 2001, GCC is a collaboration of basic and translational scientists, researchers, clinicians, and students in the quantitative biomedical sciences. Member institutions include Rice University, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, Baylor College of Medicine, Houston Methodist Research Institute, Texas A&M Institute of Biosciences and Technology, University of Houston, and The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
