BIG CHANNEL CATS ... ' LAKE BERRYESSA'
We did something different and fished for freshwater catfish at Lake Berryessa this week in Northern California, you know the lake with the world famous 'Glory Hole'. We had an awesome day with our good friend Mitch, we hit up a couple spots with no cats showing much interest. With catfish in general it's best to relocate to another area, if the bite is slow, so that's what we did and it paid off (sometimes that's all it takes to get some cat action). Of course the last spot was productive with a couple nice size Channel Catfish hooked up and a few good missed bites. We offered them all kinds of cut bait ... but store bought 'Squid' was all the wanted.
