Ten of Denver’s most talented bartenders are competing to create the most visually stunning garnish—and you can get in on the action! Try each of their cocktails at participating restaurants and bars leading up to the event, then cast your vote to advance six bartenders to the live finale. In this video, bartender Diana Rodriguez from STK in Denver shows us how to create an elevated and indulgent cocktail called Marvelous Mary. This cocktail takes the classic Bloody Mary and enhances it with a modern twist that’s perfect for brunch or any time you want a flavorful and satisfying drink.
To make this cocktail, you’ll need:
• 2 oz Ketel One
• 5 oz Bloody Mary Mix
• 0.25 oz Worcestershire Sauce
Garnish: This beefed-up Bloody Mary garnish comes served in a Tajin-rimmed glass and is enhanced with Nueske bacon, pickled shrimp, stuffed olives, and celery, along with STK’s signature Lil BRGs.
Inspiration: Diana drew inspiration from classic brunch cocktails, adding an elevated and modern twist to the popular Bloody Mary. The garnish exemplifies how STK goes above and beyond to make every guest’s experience exciting and enjoyable, offering a unique and memorable take on a beloved classic.
The 6th Annual Garnish Games is a bartending competition in Denver presented by DiningOut Magazine and Diageo Brand Spirits, culminating with a live finale on August 4th, 2024, at Meow Wolf Convergence Station.
