All people suffering at work or experiencing burnout have one thing in common: poor management. Poor management doesn't necessarily mean completely toxic, no... it just means they don't know how to manage, but think they do.

The problem? Often, in addition to suffering at work, people with this type of manager will also feel guilty about not being able to satisfy their manager... and yes, all people who have experienced burnout, for example, will think they are responsible for the situation instead of recognizing themselves as victims.

So, I don't claim to be able to make this type of situation disappear, but in any case, I'm reporting this episode to help identify whether your manager is putting you at risk of burnout, because, yes, I affirm it, a manager worthy of the name should be able to prevent 99% of burnouts in their team. But before you rely on your manager's potential quality, you can take action by trying to determine if your manager is potentially toxic and, more importantly, how you can take action.

Here are the signs to look out for.

1. Your manager sends you emails outside of work hours.
2. Your manager loves endless meetings, especially those at the end of the day.
3. Your manager always asks you for everything at the last minute, and of course, it's urgent.
4. Your manager never gives you feedback, except during your annual review.
5. You feel like you're constantly underwater.
