Edging My Promo On Halloween | Tekken 8 Lars Gameplay
This was recorded last night (October 30th) and is my version of a Halloween special episode. I wanted to name it something Halloweeny but whatever man I DONT CARE ANYMORE. It’s like 2 am as I’m writing this and I can’t believe I gaslit myself into thinking that I could go to bed at like 12 loooool. Nope, needed to edit and make the video. It’s okay though, because spoilers, I got my Tekken Emperor promotion in this video. Feels really good honestly.
I knew I’ve been improving a lot recently, and it feels good to actually be able to showcase it in a way that’s not just playing slightly better than usual. I mean, obviously that’s great and all, but in game I like having a different PNG for once. It’s hard to say if I’ve earned it or not in particular, but I do feel like I’ve earned it. I’ve been spending a lot of time in replay mode, learning a lot, practicing my throw escape, taking mental notes of my strengths and weaknesses as a player, which is a lot more than what some of these other people do at this rank, so yeah actually fuck it. I did earn this, I put the work into it and I’m glad I’m starting to have something to show for it. Now obviously I still have a TON of room to improve, and I’ll gladly continue along that path, but today, I’ll take my wins where I can get em. I could have gotten my promo a lot sooner if I was smarter, but again like I said, as long as I can recognize why I lose/win in certain situations, that’s a very crucial skill to have.
Now all that talk is meant to be specifically about Lars, but my Lee has also been improving a decent amount too. My Lee is still not super good mind you, but I’m slowly getting better with him as time goes on as well. I think I can get Tekken King with Lee if I grind it out at least, which is something I’d love to get eventually. When I get my Lee Tekken King, I think that’s when I’ll start seriously considering a third character to play. I’ve talked about it before, but I mean actually this time. So, be prepared for that in the next month or so? Hopefully by New Years that’ll be the reality. I love Tekken man, these bum ass haters on reddit and Twitter will never stop me from playing and enjoying something I genuinely do like. Nor should it stop you, always remember that!
