After escaping Wailing Caverns with a cracked bottle of stolen goblin port and a glowing shard pulsing with unknown energy, I made my way to Ratchet — a coastal trade town at the edge of the Barrens.
I expected ingenuity. I found greed.
While goblins had me fetching lost gadgets and nearly blew me up with their own tech, I sought wisdom about the shard from a druid said to dwell near the caverns. His answer? Vague and deflective. Even the druids in Thunder Bluff offered nothing but silence.
In this log, I reflect on Ratchet’s environmental context, my early encounters with its architecture, and the growing tension between nature and arcane mystery.
My journey continues… but maybe not with the druids.
