Ceramco Ceramics Tooling
Ceramco’s Tooling – Accurate toolmaking is fundamental to near-net shaping, the heart of our custom ceramics molding process. All three of Ceramco’s PIM (Powder Injection Molding) techniques: HPIM, LPIM and MicroPIM, require their own type of specialized tooling.
Ceramco makes its tooling for LPIM (Low Pressure PIM) from type 6061 Aluminum, providing both flexibility and value for production runs up to 10,000 pieces. Our HPIM (High Pressure PIM) and MicroPIM require tooling made of tool steel, delivering both extended life and preserving near-net shape tolerances for production runs of 10,000 pieces or more.
