A rare mileage "Anthracite Ramble" on RBMN rails was hosted by the National Museum of Industrial History back on July 31st 2024 out of the brand new Nesquehoning Regional Railroad Station. Two Budd built 1950s self-propelled "rail diesel cars" were utilized for the day's adventure, one being 9166: a half coach half snack bar, and 9168: a full coach. The railcars are each powered by two legendary Detroit Diesel power plants.
During our trip we had several stops along the way including 3 photo runbys, a tour of the old LV roundhouse in White Haven, and a tour of the railroad's new facility in Nesquehoning. (not shown) It was a wonderful event and I thank those from both the RBMN and NMIH for making it possible. Thanks for watching!
