RBMN 2102 Iron Horse Rambles to Pittston - Glen Onoko & White Haven, PA
On August 17th 2024, the Reading and Northern operated its 2nd Iron Horse Rambles excursion with 4-8-4 2102 out of Nesquehoning PA on its Lehigh Division to Pittston for the "Tomato Day Festival." While I was not able to plan a full day's chase, I grabbed the mighty T1 battling upgrade through both Glen Onoko and White Haven as she traveled on her first leg of the days journey. The sights and sounds of a 4-8-4 working hard with no assistance is something you must really see in person!
