Think you need to "cut up" your Old House to install A/C or central heating...think again! Have you heard of The Unico System? If not, it is a 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲, small duct high velocity (𝗦𝗗𝗛𝗩) system. You can easily "𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘧𝘪𝘵" an entire house, or add to the system as we did here...just "𝘧𝘪𝘴𝘩" the small ducts through the wall like wiring!
Here is an overview of a Unico retrofit through existing wall cavities in just a few steps. Although the wall sections here are open for renovations, it gives you a better "cut away" view of how a Unico retrofit travels through the walls:
𝟭) From 2nd floor master, probe up to the attic with a drill to establish location.
𝟮) Cut access hole in master floor wall cavity area (at floor).
𝟯) Cut register hole downstairs in parlor, near ceiling.
𝟰) Install register and duct. Feed from parlor up to the master.
𝟱) Feed duct from master to attic.
𝟲) Connect new duct to main trunk line.
𝟳) Patch the small opening in parlor...DONE!
