Blessed Are Those Who Give (BATWG) is a nonprofit organization providing funding, support and resources to residents of Central Texas. Uniquely, we do not limit our generosity to funding basic human needs. Whether a family of 4 is in need of rental assistance to keep a roof over their heads, or a tired, stressed-out mom needs a haircut to lift her spirits, BATWG is here to serve the community as a beacon and relieve financial tension in areas that boost morale and increase productivity in individuals.
Despite running low on funds as grants and donations have recently dried up, we’ve continued to support residents in the community with rent, utilities, groceries, and additional much needed expenditures which would negatively affect the quality of life if left unattended.
In the last month alone, we have been able to prevent evictions for families with children, we have provided food and nourishment to some who had no idea where their next meal was coming from, and we have restored utilities to residents who went to bed the night before without electricity or running water.
Continuing our work is more than just a passion of ours, it is a necessity which needs to be provided to prevent an outbreak of poverty, hardship, and tragedy if left untreated. We know that by helping our community members in need, we are creating a ripple effect of positivity and kindness that will extend beyond just the individuals we serve. When those in need are supported, they can focus on their personal growth and contribute to society in a more meaningful way.
To ensure that we are able to maintain operations for the remainder of the year, we are asking for your help to assist us in raising $8,000 to allow us to continue our work in the community.
Of the $8,000 raised...
➡️ 55% of donations will go towards supporting local residents in our assistance programs, ensuring that they have access to basic necessities and resources to improve their quality of life.
➡️ 40% of donations will go towards supporting and covering Christmas expenses for members of our Facebook Group. Many individuals in our group are struggling to make ends meet, and we want to ensure that they are able to enjoy the holiday season without worrying about financial stress.
➡️ 15% of donations will go towards covering our operating expenses, which includes keeping our website up and running, maintain subscriptions & softwares which bind our business operations, and other necessary costs to keep our organization running smoothly.
We understand that times may be tough for many, but any contribution, big or small, can make a significant impact on the lives of those in need. Your generosity and support will go directly towards helping individuals and families in our community who are facing financial hardships.
