EDISON DOLLS | Creepiest Talking Dolls Ever Made
Thomas Alva Edison was also the creator of one of the creepiest toys in the history.
He experienced a major failure when he tried to create the first-ever talking dolls. In 1877 He developed the tinfoil phonograph. It was a major breakthrough in terms of sound recording . After 13 years, Edison was able to produce a line of baby dolls by using wax cylinders with wooden bodies, porcelain heads, and miniature phonographs in their chests. The dolls were unlike anything the world of toys had ever seen or heard before.
With the use of The old, garbled technology, the dolls were able to "speak" in a high-pitched a shrill voices . The unsettling sounds and dolls eerie faces made them seem even more disturbing.
