Nonlinear optics is a branch of optics that describes the behavior of materials interacting with high-intensity incident light. One of the most important nonlinear optical processes is Third-Harmonic Generation (THG), which is categorized as a third-order nonlinear process. In this tutorial, a simulation example of the THG process, based on a research paper, is presented using COMSOL Multiphysics, and some of its basic results are reproduced. This tutorial can also be used to simulate other common nonlinear processes, such as Second-Harmonic Generation (SHG).
