Day 13 - Pipelines & Cross-Validation (Intermediate ML Lessons 4 & 5)
Welcome to Day 13 of Kaggle 30 Days of Machine Learning.
In this video, I will walk through Lesson 4 and Lesson 5 of the Kaggle Intermediate Machine Learning course.
In Lesson 4, we learn about pipelines and how they can be used to bundle multiple preprocessing and modelling steps into a one. Pipelines have several important benefits such as cleaner code, fewer bugs, easier to productionize and more options for model validation.
In Lesson 5, we learn how to use cross-validation which is an iterative process of training and testing model accuracy using different subsets of the data. Cross-validation gives a more accurate measure of model quality especially when working with small datasets.
