Day 9 - Your First Machine Learning Model & Model Validation (Intro to ML Lessons 3 & 4)
Welcome to Day 9 of Kaggle 30 Days of Machine Learning.
In this video, I will walk through Lesson 3 and Lesson 4 of the Kaggle Intro to Machine Learning course.
In Lesson 3, we will learn to build our first machine learning model, a decision tree regressor using Scikit-Learn three-step process: instantiate, fit and predict.
In Lesson 4, we will learn the difference between in-samples and out-of-samples data when training and validating a model. Furthermore, we are also introduced to mean absolute error (MAE), a metric used to measure the accuracy of model predictions when solving a regression problem.
