HD209458b, also known as Osiris, is an exoplanet that was discovered in 1999 orbiting the star HD209458, which is located about 150 light-years away from Earth in the constellation Pegasus. It is a gas giant planet that is similar in size to Jupiter but has a much lower mass. HD209458b is particularly noteworthy because it was the first exoplanet to have its atmosphere directly detected and studied.

HD209458b has a very close orbit around its star, with a year lasting only 3.5 days.
