"West Agents for the Stasi" is a documentary about the daily work of the intelligence service in West Germany, about forged identities, and the psychological demands and consequences of their work.
The film also explores what secret information was passed on to the Stasi and how the German justice system dealt with the "scouts of peace," as the agents were called in Stasi jargon, after the fall of the Berlin Wall and reunification.
