This video has no audio because the camera was mounted next to a very noisy blower for the Air Hat shown in the video. No blah-blah - just subtitle descriptions where appropriate. This video is composed from two different bronze pours, as can be observed by the difference in Ceramic Shells going into the Heater Box and coming out of the Heater Box.
This foundry-in-a-box was built with two main criteria - first it had to be operated by only one person and second, it had to be very safe because it is used in a confined flammable environment.
The first criteria resulted in using a B8 crucible, as that will hold a 20 pound ingot of bronze and is about as much weight as can be safely managed with the handler. The second criteria demanded it to be confined to a metal box with a sand floor in case of bronze spillage. Melting and casting bronze is only a small part of the bronze casting process, but probably the most interesting.
