Moodles #1 - #13
These sculptures are titled “MOODLE” – meaning metal doodles. The first was completed December 29, 2021.
When I first started making ferrocement sculpturesan armature would be finished and Diana would see it and say that it was so beeeeooootiful and that I should just keep it like it is. But that wasn’t what I was making. Now, after many years, I decided to try out her idea.
Each of these sculptures are fabricated from galvanized expanded metal lath, with some soldering, brazing and welding so they require the California Proposition 64 hazardous materials warning. Also, metal lath has sharp edges and where it is cut it has razor sharp edges, which have been hidden or smoothed as much as possible – but still caution is advised.
