I have been using Autodesk Maya for roughly 11 months now. For a little while now, I have been wanting to step up in this program with using the tools I've learned, and make a vehicle. After watching a few tutorials on how to make cars, I decided I didn't want to make a "real" car. As much as I approve of constructive criticism, there are just too many ways to mess up a real car and too many ppl can call you on it. So, with that in mind...I decided to make my own. Starting with a piece of sketch paper, I drew out a side view of a car I'd thought of in my head. From there, a top view and front. Cut it up in Photoshop, and threw the images into Maya. Traced with nurbs curves, alot of lofting, converting to polys then sub-d's, I finally had my imagination realized. I turned a picture from my head, into a drawing, into a 3d image. To me, it really can't get cooler than that. :)

Oh...and this video render, on my computer, took about 5 1/2 hours. 240 frames, averaging 1:33 a piece...all for a 10 second clip. I extended it a lil tho in my video program.
Enjoy. :)
(lastly, thanks to digital tutors, it was most of the skillset they threw into a tutorial that made this possible.)
