VW virtual cockpit showing "Error: Instrument cluster. Please visit workshop", Front Assist unavailable and no indicator sound? Here's how to fix it.
👨🔧 This video shows how to remove the "Error: Instrument cluster. Please visit workshop" message from VW Golf 7 – Golf 7.5, Tiguan AD / BW, Passat B8 and Arteon digital dashboards. On these virtual cockpits the message usually comes with Front Assist unavailable, no sounds from the dashboard (indicator/turn-signal ticking silent, no chime when powering up the cluster or when leaving the doors open or the lights on, no seatbelt warning) and adaptive cruise control (ACC) not working. When all these problems appear together, the cause is a faulty instrument cluster speaker (original code: A2C00061361): there's no need to replace the whole cluster, but only the faulty buzzer, which is swapped for the Minitools SEP-SPEAKER21 replacement. This brings the warning sounds back and re-enables Front Assist and ACC.
