Fascial distortion model (FDM)
What is FDM?
The fascial distortion model can be applied in various fields of medicine. It expands physicians' diagnostic capabilities and often facilitates effective treatment of patients with various medical diagnoses.
Currently, the FDM approach is successfully used to treat complaints of pain and discomfort in the musculoskeletal system and for the treatment of this problem.
The goal of each FDM intervention is to correct fascial distortions. Once fascial changes are corrected, immediate improvements in load-bearing capacity, mobility, and/or pain reduction can be expected. Rest periods are not required, and rapid resumption of activity is possible.
FDM diagnosis involves interpreting the patient's body language and gestures. Through careful questioning, intuitive gestures can be deciphered, allowing for a more rapid and accurate diagnosis, while the patient's medical history and examination complement the FDM assessment.
