Companies are sucking up massive amounts of our data every day, and we have almost no control over how it's collected, stored, sold — or if it's stolen and exploited. And as technology evolves, so do the threats to our data and privacy. That AI-generated clone of my voice is scarily good.
That’s why I'm reintroducing my bill to create a Data Protection Agency — a federal agency dedicated to protecting your data, with the expertise to understand the latest technology and the regulatory tools to crack down quickly on the latest scams. We're one of the only democracies in the world without a federal data protection agency. It's time to catch up and make sure Americans' privacy is protected too.
