A Beginner's Guide To Making A Hooded Cloak
Have you every wanted a fantasy cloak but lack any sewing experience. Then follow along as I attempt an easy DIY build with this Lord of The Rings style cloak tutorial complete with hood and lining. I set out in this video to try and create a simple tutorial for people to follow but in doing so learnt a valuable lesson myself about having the confidence to commit. I’m of course still very much a beginner myself so if I can do it so can you. Because this garment construction is so simple I haven't included much by way of measurements used but this will depend more on your own size anyway, always mock up first, in this tutorial I focus mainly of sewing techniques.
Normally I use recycled materials as much as possible in my projects for the purpose of sustainability. In this instance however I brought the materials. They are locally sourced to be as ethical as possible and I use the minimum amount of material for the project. Turns out you can do it with just 2M of material.
