Balrampur: Police busted a gang making Aadhaar cards using fake documents, 11 people arrested.
Balrampur: Police have busted a major racket involved in the creation of fake documents. They have arrested 11 individuals in connection with the case. On February 15, 2025, Harraiya police station received information from an informant. Following this, police teams raided three locations: Arun Online Service Center in Harraiya Satgharwa, Pathak Public Service Center in Bhadashiya village, and an anonymous online center in Gulriha village. Investigation revealed that these individuals were creating caste certificates, residence certificates, and birth certificates without valid licenses. Police recovered numerous fake documents from the scene. Three separate cases have been registered at Harraiya police station in this matter. The first case is against Siddharth Saroj, Mithun Tiwari, Ramesh Tiwari, and Manoj Chaudhary. The second is against Dinesh Pathak and Pradeep Pathak. The third case was filed against Shivcharan Yadav. This action was taken under the direction of Additional Superintendent of Police, North, Yogesh Kumar, and Circle Officer, Laliya, Jyotishree. Inspector-in-Charge Abhishek Singh and the Special Operations Group (SOG) team arrested the accused. Several electronic devices, including laptops and printers, were recovered from the accused. All the accused have been presented in court. Police interrogation revealed that the accused fraudulently forged caste certificates, residence certificates, and birth certificates. They also illegally updated Aadhaar cards. The gang possessed a special currency equipped with a silicone fingerprint scanner and an iris scanner. The accused logged into the website using the name of an OTP operator and created certificates without any valid documents. Aadhaar card updates are only available through banks or post offices, but the accused used this illegal means for monetary gain. Some of the accused stated that they purchased the entire setup, including the laptop, for ₹55,000. An application called Native was already installed in it. This application would open the Aadhaar update website. The accused would create fake Aadhaar cards by changing the Aadhaar card data. They would charge extra for this work and then divide it among themselves.
