Hurricane Fiona: Before & Aftermath
We experienced our first Atlantic Canada hurricane and it may well have been the biggest or at least most sustained high winds that this part of the world has on record. Staying awake all night listening to trees fall around us in the dark was harrowing and something I don't want to experience again. Thankfully all trees fell away or perpendicular to our house and so we didn't have any damage to our home or surrounding out buildings.
There are many who suffered more than we did. Yet Hurricane Fiona is the gift that keeps on giving and we are still without power or running water almost 14 days later.
