Adam signed up for the Extra BP challenge at the end of August. He normally trades from his personal account, but depleted this when his wife went back to school and looked for a way to boost his exposure.
Adam ran into a few challenges: he faced the time pressure of the evaluation and had to make himself focus on the trades instead; he also has a full-time job and tried forcing some trades from his phone, but realized this was counterproductive.
ℹ️ Took some drawdowns and stagnated a while trying to trade from his phone at work, but went back to his core setup and resumed his march to completion.
Adam normally trades with Camarilla Pivots and PDC. He selected a similarly sized challenge as what he was used to trading in his personal account, allowing him to transfer his parameters and mental cues over. Earlier in his trading career, he traded more small-caps, but shifted to large-cap stocks for ease of risk management.
Here are some of his stats:
🔹 Best stock: $NVDA
🔹 Success rate: 37%
🔹 Biggest win: long $NVDA x 1011 making $2224.20
🔹 Biggest loss: short $NVDA x 1300 losing $793.00
Adam is TTP's new funded trader managing a $160K account or, as we call it, a true "Stock Star".
In this interview, Michael and Adam discuss the interplay of win rate and risk/reward ratio, the differences in style of those traders with differently sized personal accounts, and aspects of different trading strategies.
