The Lemonade Project - Tree giving event
Larnaka Airport is home to more than 120 lemon trees planted around the terminal. In February 2022, Hermes staff, with the help of the airport community, gathered three tons of lemons from the airport’s lemon trees for the first time ever.
The lemons were processed in the factory of KEAN, the biggest citrus fruit producer in Cyprus.
One thousand seven hundred liters of lemonade squash were produced, with an aim to raise funds for sustainable projects.
Our first project was launched on 1 October 2022 with more that 1000 trees and herbs offered to the public for free to plant in their homes.
