It shouldn't have taken this long, but that's how long it took. However, moving forward, we now know. See, this is one aspect of frameworks like Yii, that are so programmed to work a specific way, I just don't like. I prefer having a little bit of freedom in what I do. The main reasons I stopped using Ruby on Rails and Django is because you HAVE to make things the way the framework dictates, or break it.
