Cleveland Cavaliers: Jarrett Allen Hosts Eighth Annual Meals + Math Thanksgiving Charity Event
Jarrett Allen’s annual Meals + Math event provides 25 children and their families with Thanksgiving groceries while teaching kids about math and budgeting. With support from Giant Eagle, the Cleveland Cavaliers and American Tall, each participant received a sample grocery list, calculator and budget of $200 (in the form of a Giant Eagle gift card).
Allen joined volunteers from the Cavs to help participants grocery shop while calculating costs and budgeting their meals.
Passionate about STEM education, Allen is also partnering with John Glenn Space Center to provide each student with a STEM learning kit. Additionally, participants received items from the Cavs, Fanatics, NBA, NBPA, Panini, Quay, and Sackcloth & Ashes.
