Learn how to create a Simple Circut with foil, tape, Christmas light and battery. This is a easy and fun science experiment that you will love.
1) What happens if you add more then one Christmas light?

WHAT YOU NEED
Foil
Scissor
Paper
Christmas lights
Tape
STEP UP
1) Cut 4 pieces of foil so you can make a square or rectangle on your piece of paper
2) Lay down the foil onto the paper make sure the foil is overlapping each end.
3) Tape each corner onto the paper so the foil doesn't move and that the foil touches foil.
4) Make a cut on the top and bottom of the foil
5) Fold back one of the cut foils one pencil width
6) Fold back the other cut foil 2 pencil widths
7) Place you Christmas light on the foil that is 2 pencil widths. Make sure the wire from the Christmas lights touch each side of the foil. Then tape the wire onto the foil.
8) This is now called a OPEN CIRCUT. You should only have a break in the foil on the one pencil width side.
9) Take the 9 volt battery and place it on the side of the one pencil width foil. Battery should be facing down so each connector touches one side of the foil. TADA! you just created a CLOSED CIRCUT.
Troubleshooting
Make sure the foil is touching foil.
Make sure the Christmas light works. Meaning take out the light and put each end on the battery. If the light does not light up, then you have a bad light and replace with a new light.
If you can not figure out why it is not working I suggest to start over as sometimes it is just easier. As always leave a comment if not working and I will try to help you get it to work.
